On November 3, 2011, the Suzhou Fund Museum officially opened in Ligong Causeway, Suzhou Industrial Park, with a display area of 2300 square meters. The museum uses various means such as sound, light, electricity, film, and objects to showcase the history of Chinese finance and the business history of Gusu. At the same time, it records important concepts, figures, and events in the global and Chinese fund industry. It popularizes equity investment funds, hedge funds, public welfare funds, mutual funds, and other formats to the public, witnessing the development process and innovative power of the fund. As the world's first public welfare themed museum with a fund as its theme, it has been widely recognized in the industry and has become an important landmark in the national fund industry and Suzhou finance. As of May 2023, the cumulative number of museum visitors has exceeded 310000, and the number of online forum participants has exceeded tens of millions.
Venue Overview
Since its opening twelve years ago, the Suzhou Fund Museum has received various honorary certifications from local financial regulatory, civil affairs management, cultural tourism, and education departments, becoming an investor education and training base for financial institutions. We will continue to promote financial enlightenment, deliver financial concepts, and interpret Financial innovation. The exhibition area is divided into three floors, with the first floor showcasing the history of Chinese finance; There are four exhibitions on the second floor, including the history of global funds, the history of Chinese funds, Social finance, and the Silk Road financial culture; The third floor is the clean financial and cultural education base of Suzhou Banking and Insurance Regulatory Bureau.

The basic display of Suzhou Fund Museum includes: money order, old account box, money god theory (calligraphy), the commemorative silver plate of the foundation of the Foundation Association in Gusu Prosperity Map, China Fund Watch magazine, financial magazine (fund black screen), etc. The special display includes: China's financial development history, global fund development history, China's fund development history, Social finance, Silk Road financial culture, etc.
Cultural/Brand Activities
Over the years, the museum has launched various financial and cultural themed activities in the local area, including over 200 Suzhou Financial Lecture Hall, Museum Afternoon Tea, Financial Investor Education Lectures, and nearly 100 youth financial and business activities. It has hosted national forums such as the China Equity Investment Fund Association Annual Meeting and the China Mergers and Acquisitions Association Annual Meeting. Suzhou Fund Museum has also cooperated with the Asset Management Association of China and the All Union M&A Association, and has successively hosted eight annual conferences of China M&A Fund since 2013. More than 20 provincial and ministerial leaders and more than 150 industry leaders attended the speech, with 2000 offline viewers and over a million online viewers. Dozens of mainstream media outlets such as Xinhua News Agency, People's Daily, Financial Times, and Sina Finance reported, with a comprehensive click through of nearly 55 million online and offline news.
The museum also regularly holds "Museum Afternoon Tea", inviting guests to share topics on finance, history, future, and art. It has held more than 30 events and attracted over a thousand visitors. Tens of thousands of people follow and participate in interactions through live streaming platforms. At the same time, more than 10 financial investor education public welfare lectures were held, inviting senior investment experts from financial institutions such as banks, securities, funds, and wealth management to popularize financial knowledge, cultivate investment capabilities, help the general public understand the financial market correctly, and establish correct investment concepts and risk prevention awareness. At the same time, the museum also regularly holds "financial intelligence training camps". Since 2015, the Suzhou Foundation Museum was designated as the "Suzhou Youth Social Practice Experience Station" by the Suzhou Education Bureau and Civilization Office, and has specially planned over a hundred youth financial intelligence experience activities.
